The passed comfortably; under a sunny sky and easterly wind the temperature rose into sixeties. After mass, I drove to Fall River for mass. The first mass was the modern Latin rite some people love to hate—the second mass was a Maronite rite. I couldn’t hardly keep up, but enjoyed the incense hearing syriac spoken for the first time.

Over and back I drove through bright folliage and stopped for a stroll through several Newport graveyards. Then I fought my way to hell—E3M2. I’ve been playing through the original Doom episodes on Ultra-violence. Through the first to episodes I was able to clear every board and kill most of the monsters; the third episode is a little more difficult—I think there’s not enough ammo on the ground to kill all of the hell-spawn Doom throws out. This must be what Nightmare is like (Nightmare is the highest difficulty setting. Monsters don’t stay dead).

On the election. Turn on some hard house if you like to get all excited (c/o di.fm), and check out the comments on Daily Kos or PoliPundit.
