A dell contractor was here last thursday in an attempt to replace the LCD on my laptop. Having been sent a faulty replacement, he failed, but that’s not the interesting bit. I asked him about the kinds of issues he gets sent to fix. Apparently he’s seen a lot of notebook processors and motherboards go bad.
Due to heat damage.
Due to always running at 120%.
Due to being infected with spyware and adware.
But you, gentle reader—if perchance you play with Windows—are no doubt working from a Limited User account (in the case of XP Pro) running Firefox, aren’t you?
