“Poetic realism reaches sublime heights”

An hour before the end of the second disc, I everything turned familiar. I think I’ve seen some latter part of Marcel Carne’s “Children of Paradise” before; it was worth watching again. The story revolves around “a woman loved by four different men,” and it’s thoroughly French. Excellent viewing.
