”...this is pure self-indulgence. But life is self-indulgence. We make characters of the people we meet, we fit them into our own narrative of life.”

This movie critiques itself. It’s the grandiose spaceship set that never takes off, but a movie happens anyways. It’s good art, but right now I don’t connect strongly, though it’s right up the introspective alley where my friend find me drunk. Several of the people shots were so excellently framed and acted that I’m sure thig will grow on me like FSOL’s Lifeforms.

Directed: Federico Fellini, 1963.
Summary: Creative study of the Art and the Artist.
