A Long Memoriable Weekend · May 30, 09:12 PM

The last writeup was too long, so this is a condensed retelling.

FRIDAY

Late at work installing batteries and reboot obsolete unix boxen. Reluctant attendance of the play Polish Joke with Merrilee: boy meets girl, boy hates being Polish, boy meets new girl, boy settles in Poland. Followed up by a stroll around the downtown with Narayun from the Hostel. Big party night.

SATURDAY

First sunny day in three weeks; Summer is here. Walk too much in the sun, walk up to Hanging Rock in the bird sanctuary; later around Sachuest Point. Everywhere smells like salt water or sun-tan lotion or fish or flowers. Nap.

SUNDAY

Morning Mass after eight hours of sleep. Sunniest day yet. An afternoon with Narayun taking pictures. Merrilee joins us, we go to Jamestown—pictures into the evening.

MONDAY

Lazy morning. Rush to catch “Spirit of Newport” harbor tour with Narayun, then an Indian lunch and rush to send him off, catching the bus after it’s pulled out and headed off. I settle down to finish Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and catch up on relaxing.

That’s about as much as I can remember in 5 minutes. See the pictures.

  1. I see that you are working at your full capacity Tom. And just one sunny day in a several weeks?! That just sound depressing.

You just have to tell me when the next sunny day is so I can book my flight before hand. Yin    Jun 7, 12:49 PM    #
