The New Market Wizards · Jun 29, 11:08 PM

Jack D. Schwager interviews a variety of succesful traders seeking common factors. He finds more differences. The markets vary—from stocks to bonds to futures and currency. The tactics cover the spectrum: position trading, swing trading, scalping, and arbitrage. Some use wholly mechanical decision-making systems; some listen to their gut and watch for price action.

Some common traits: hard work, determination, planning, discipline—traits common to successful people anywhere. Common traits specific to market traders: strict money management and calculated psychology (this has to do with how humans typically react to risk w.r.t gain and loss).

A light read. Moderately inspiring.
