An action-packed extravaganze with kick-butt martial arts and spooky thrills.

That’s what USA Today had to say about this over-produced French drama, which is not only action-packed, but packed with fight-scene slow-motion, dramatic emotional slow-motion, dramatic montages whenever anybody drops a hat, exposition, &c.. I’m too bored to think up everything this film had to offer. All two and a half hours of this extravaganzatic epic left me underwhelmed. Maybe their was some segment I could remember fondly—the ironic yet foreshadowed conclusions—or when the main characters die off—but I would rather not.

Directed: Christophe Gans, 2001
Summary: French historical action drama epic thriller romance

  1. DUDE, NO! I totally loved the Bruthahood of the Wolf. I refuse to believe I was decieved by shmaltz and over-production into liking something that was The Suck. Katie    Oct 16, 03:22 AM    #

  2. Please blame the bitter mood I was in. A bitter, bitter mood. Tom    Oct 16, 10:18 AM    #
