I’ve stumbled onto nikyo week, and I’m the tallest in the dojo—by several inches, so everyone wants to do their nikyo on me. Sempai Rob instructs, “and when they are as tall as this fellow I’ve just brought to the mat, standard nikyo won’t work. You can do this ... [tap], this ... [tap], or even this ... [TAP].” And I did my first nikyo, too! Yay!

In the we’re-concerned-about-you dept., my right foot and it’s arch are doing fine.

In the kittyblogging-life-in-Newport dept., we are currently experiencing an odd recurrance of November, with highs in the upper 40s.

In the where-is-Tom-and-what-did-you-do-with-his-camera dept. ... um, I have nothing to report.
