Brokeback Mountain · Feb 10, 12:02 AM

I drove thirty minutes to Warwick for Brokeback Mountain and then drove thirty minutes back.

* * *

  1. I was upset and I cried, but I don’t have anything else to say.

  2. So… does that mean I go see it or not (the other option is Capote)?
    And from your original post I surmise that the thirty minutes back were longer.

  3. I would recommend Brokeback over Capote (not that I’ve seen Capote).

    The landscape is integral to the movie and well shot. Lee explicitly captured some details of Jack and Ennis’s relationship right. The wives were done quite well, I think.

    I’m not sure how a non-gay man or woman would react—though the audience was about 15 middle-aged ladies and myself.
