Ikebukuro (April 22) · Apr 23, 11:07 PM

In the morning I spent half an hour exercising in Sumida park. In the afternoon I wandered Ikebukuro. I saw a university and stumbled across a long, narrow park stroll before I had lunch lunch at a raw tuna shop called Maguro Ichiba. I ordered what turned out to be a soft-boiled egg over minced raw tuna and green onions over rice. Yummy.

Later I wandered to Shibuya where I figured out how to order from the crepe shops: take a picture of the name-card below the crepe I wanted in the display case, then show the amused counter-worker.

In the evening I went back to the Aunkai class for one last time. It was hard work. Afterwards we all went out drinking and eating. I like Akuzawa.

On the late-night train ride home I Rob was “f___ing around” and I made the mistake of letting him hit me with his interpretation of fajin (“emit strength” may be a transliteration of the chinese)—that is, a connected-whole-body punch with breath-power added.

My ribs are still sore.
