Walk On
feeds: ,
I checked out this morning after three hours at a nearby wangb ba (“online bar”). I took my backpack across town to the train station, checked it with left luggage, and strolled down to the lake. I walked well-kept, forested paths through a lake-side park that lies adjacent to the Nanjing city wall. I walked into the heart of the city to spend two more hours online frustrating myself trying to copy and upload pictures. Then I took the metro South one stop out of Nanjing and walked back in on an elevated freeway. I ate pork-fried rice and spicy kebabs somewhere near the south gate at a family restaurant, then walked north. I tried to burn pictures in a Kodak store, blowing 80Y for 2 sets of four discs, but I was watching the guy work. He combined speedy with incompetent; I walked out to catch my train — they apologized and I said it was no problem. I’m about out of free memory, and headed for Beijing. I’ll start over there.
