This morning I stayed up and in after Rob left for work, watching
Batman Begins, Blade 2, and Clockwork Orange to pass the time — no shopping, no sightseeing, no practicing, no journaling, no picture sorting. In the evening I do get around to selecting and later uploading about two hundred pictures from a DVD I burned somewhere in Yunnan. Rob returned from work around 1530, left to go out at seven, then came back after nine and rented The Grudge 2 (the Japanese version). It wasn’t really scary, but a little creepy at points, and when the characters finally started dying — this doesn’t happen in Japanese horror as nearly as often as in American horror, I think — the movie does an excellent job of flishing through non-linear sequences without losing strong forward momentum towards the death climaxes.
It was something of a late night — past midnight but not insanely deep into the morning.
