In lieu of an actual update, where I write all about Chris’s visit last weekend, his first to New England (excluding Boston), I’ll just happy list a couple new toys the UPS package man is delivering

Now I just have to decide if I need to replace my aging laptop now that I will have to process RAW files. I also have to figure out how, exactly, one processes RAW files. And how, exactly, one uses an SLR to create RAW files in the first place (something about “exposure” and “f-stop”, I think)

  2. I’m going to keep my laptop for field use, but replace it at home with something bigger and better. I wants me 20 to 30 inches of LCD yummyness for HDR compositing, as well as Halo 3 playing, if I can get both birds, so to speak.

    It may turn out to be cheaper to buy iMac + TV just for Halo and Viva Pinata than outfit a Mac Pro with an appropriate display.

    (Nice lady at UPS says I can pick up my camera after 7:30 from their distribution center in Warwick, RI) == :-)
